About Us

Welcome back

So much water has passed under the bridge in the last several months and now the eddies and flows have settled for a while I think it's a good time to revive our little network. Being able to find connection with the more greater and powerful world around us has been such a profound solace and comfort to so many people. Being In enforced lockdown gave so many people the chance and time to find  how fascinating and rewarding growing and being with nature is. The last 18 months has made enormous differences to our lives. Many of us grieve for those we have lost. Many of us have had to dig deeper than we have ever had before to find insight and understanding into where we now find ourselves. Throughout all this, speaking from my own place and space, there is still that wonder and joy when seed germination transforms into a beautiful flower, a crunchy carrot, a sweet tomato. It has also been watching the flowers on my Echium visited daily by bumble bees and now there is masses of seed which I will collect and dry. It is also counting the peaches on my espaliered tree outside the kitchen. My wife Christine asked me not to cut it down last year. It  has never been particularly fruitful but this year I have a bumper crop,  there are more than 20 fruits. I check them every time I pass, making sure I get them before the bees do.

So there we are, a welcome return from me. Do share your musings and discoveries or events with us. We are now able to get together and share simple pleasures again, and the greater joy and fascination of the world around us never ending. It's full of unexpected challenges many times, it's also not an easy ride many times but what binds it all so well is love and compassion and it is through nature that it can be so well expressed.
